Breastfeeding Awareness Week

As we continue Breastfeeding Awareness Week, I want to talk about something that doesn't always get enough attention: Support.
One of the biggest misconceptions is that breastfeeding is "natural," so it should come naturally to every mother. However, that's simply not true.
For many mothers ... especially first-time moms, those without experienced women around them, or those whose family members couldn't breastfeed themselves, it can be overwhelming, emotional, and incredibly challenging.
Sadly, many mothers stay silent because they fear being judged for struggling with something that others assume should be easy.
Instead of judging, let's choose compassion. Let's offer encouragement, share our experiences, and remind one another that asking for help is a sign of strength, not failure.
And if you're the one struggling, please don't be afraid to reach out. Lactation consultants, healthcare professionals, support groups, and other mothers can make a world of difference.
No matter how your feeding journey looks, you are a mother, and you are enough.
Wishing you all a beautiful Thursday filled with kindness, understanding, and hope.
