I’m Dominique V. , a South African wife, mother, and entrepreneur with a deep love for storytelling. Writing Forever Hope has been one of the most vulnerable and powerful experiences of my life.

With a background in events management and a creative passion expressed through my gifts business, I’ve always found meaning in moments ... especially the ones that shape us when life doesn't go according to plan. I’m also a proud NICU mom and a voice for parents navigating miscarriage, premature birth, and everything in between.

 

The Inspiration Behind Forever Hope

Forever Hope was born from a place of pain, but also from resilience and faith. After experiencing multiple miscarriages, a high-risk pregnancy, and a long NICU journey with my son, I felt called to share our story. Along the way, I was also diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS), an autoimmune disorder that silently played a devastating role in our journey to parenthood.

This memoir is not just about loss, it’s about holding onto hope, even when everything feels broken. It sheds light on the often-overlooked intersection between autoimmunity and pregnancy complications, offering insight and support to others navigating similar battles.

Through this book, I hope to reach anyone who has ever faced grief, uncertainty, or deep longing and show them that they are never alone. You’ll also find the voices of other courageous women woven throughout the pages, sharing their own journeys of heartbreak, healing, and hope.
